Item number: 17571390 | Original and dated 6/72 this lighted square Squirt clock is made by Pam Clock Inc., New Rochelle, New York. Size is 15 1/4 x 15 1/4 x 4 with a clear domed glass front. Features the round florescent tube which really gives this a nice even light. The clock has excellent colors and graphic, looks and runs great!

It is fresh from a local estate and thought to be circa 1940, we could not find another like it anywhere. This has a great green patina, weighs a little over 5 pounds and is approximately 9 x 6 x 5. It looks to have been cast in the traditional lost wax bronze method and is piped for optional pond or fountain use.

Item number: 17571391 | This scoop was produced right after Gilchrist merged with Hamilton Beach and has a n NRA sticker on the box. The box also says "Formerly Gilchrist #31 Short Shank." They seemed to continue the same quality of scoop over the years as current scoops of the same size and stature appear exactly as this Gilchrist scoop with the Hamilton Beach name. This scoop is made of nickel-plated brass. The box is in rough shape, but it is all there and still legible. Box measures 10.5" x 3" x 1.5".

Item number: 17571394 | This is a terrific Civil War era Meerschaum carved pipe/cheroot holder showing a soldier head with his well carved cap, beard and mustache. The piece itself is most likely circa late 1800s based on the style and the original case. The case has worn leather with white interior. The pipe has an amber stem, it is very tight and would no come unscrewed. The carved area is 2 1/4" x 1 3/4" x 1", overall length with stem is 4". This pipe is fresh from a local estate and is exactly as received. It is used and no attempts have been made to clean it.

The first set is from 1964 and the other set is the 1967 Canadian Centennial set. The centennial set is unique in that the back of each coin has a different animal and was only made with that design the one year. Both sets come in their original plastic seal from The Royal Canadian Mint. The sets pictured are the actual sets you will receive.

Item number: 17571397 | This full unused display was found in an old vending supply company about 25 years ago. They were up behind some other items and simply missed for 30 or 40 years. We opened up one of the small boxes at random and it has a Novelty Western Pin of a very ornate western saddle inside with its original instruction sheet and card. There are a total of 12 smaller boxes inside the larger display box. We have not opened any of the other boxes, so who knows what you may find in them! The outer box is 9 1/2" x 10 1/2" x 2 1/2". We hope you'll have some fun with these. The top lid folds back to become part of the display.

The artist is unknown to us. This poster is very rare. The style of illustration and printing would date it at around 1897. The size is 25 x 16 3/4 inches. It has been linen-backed with big borders. The paper has some age to it and there are a couple spots of light touch-up. It will be rolled to ship

The ashtrays feature businesses from the Bay Area - San Francisco, Berkeley, Eureka. There are also ashtrays from Hostess and Spokane, Washington. Measure approx. 3.5" in diameter.

Item number: 17571279 | This lidded beer stein was distributed by Tivoli Lager.  It has a pewter lid and the stein is dark blue pottery showing a hunter stalking goats.  It is approximately 6" tall including the lid, without the lid it is about 4 3/4".  In 1906 August Lang bought out 2 brothers and formed August Lang & Co. a bottling company which was the primary bottler for the Fredericksburg Brewery.  The company then added their own brand of beer to bottle and distribute, called "Tivoli Lager".  It shows slight wear on the bottom but otherwise is in very good condition with no cracks or chips.

Item number: 17571280 | This China cup & saucer has a crown mark and was made in Germany. All the gold trim is intact and the quality of the China is excellent. No chips, cracks or stains. Cup measures 2.25" tall by 2.25" in diameter. Saucer measures 5" in diameter.

In 1906 an artist named Briggs offered to create a company trademark for Hills Bros. - this is where the company and Briggs came up with the logo/trademark known as "The Taster." From 1906 to 1922, The Taster was to the left side of the coffee can. In 1922, they moved him to the center, where he has since stayed.

They were found circa 1955 at the Five Mile Camp Site also called Five Miles Rapids or Locks on the Columbia River. It is a well known site that produced many artifacts before the Dalles dam was built. Size is approximately for the largest one 1 1/2" x 3/8" with the smallest ones being 1" x 1/4". These were found by Walt and Gladys Koch members of the OAS and have remained in there collection until now.

There is some light foxing on the upper right corner and some browning on the outside border.  Don't forget to look at the great photograph of "Bikes From 1914".  The sign measures approximately 14 1/4" x 11 1/4".   A must for the motorcycle enthusiast.

It was made for them by Becco out of Chicago and has a zone listed in their address, this leads us to believe that it is from the early 1960s. It has a tab near the top that could be popped out and the sign would hang from it, there is also an easel on back that pops out as well. If that was not enough ways to mount it there are also two double stick pieces of foam tape to mount it directly to the wall. Size is approximately 9 1/2" x 12". There are no chips, cracks or repairs the double stick tape is missing or used.

Item number: 17571291 | This box contains 7 of the 8 activity books by George Carlson, known for his illustrations of the Uncle Wiggly stories.  The books included are:  Fun- Time Dot-Pictures, Drawing, Games, Mazes, Puzzles, Question, and  Riddles.  The Stunt book is missing.  The books are in very good condition and, except for the Dot book which has been done in pencil, appear to be unused.  The top of the box shows some slight wear and has a very small hole like from a pencil point.  On the bottom  2 of the corners are split.  The box measures 8"x9".  The colors are vibrant and would make a wonderful addition to a collection or as a decorative piece

The chrome is as nice as we have seen - looks like it was never used, and it's complete with the original lock and working key. These were placed on counters in cafes and restaurants, and while you waited for your order you could put a penny in, push down the lever, and have your yes or no questions answered, as well as getting a fortune or saying. You could also grab a napkin from either side. We just filled it with a stack of vintage fortunes. As many of us know, a very famous Twilight Zone episode starring William Shatner featured a machine much like this! Don't miss out on this amazing piece! Size is 7" x 8 3/4" x 5".

It is a well known Late Archaic to Paleo site that produced many points and tools. This lot features some of the best looking points from the collection. Size is approximately for the two larger ones 1 3/4" x 7/8" with the two smaller ones being slightly smaller at 1 1/2" x 7/8". These were found by Walt and Gladys Koch members of the OAS from 1955 to 1965 and have remained in there personal collection until now.

Item number: 17571297 | Offered is a small counter top 5 cent tray type vending machine. This machine was made by Reliable Nut Company of Los Angeles, California. They first made the machine in 1934 and was a short lived company. This machine is all original and has an original decal, there is also a paper tax label from Portland, Oregon dated 1946 on the back of the glass globe. The Machine does work and could vend nuts or small candies. The top has a screw type lock that can be opened by hand. The bottom has the same type screw lock but we do not have the wrench to open it. The tray is 9 3/4" with the machine being 8 1/2" x 5 1/2". This machine is as clean as they come!

Item number: 17571298 | "Ballantine Inn Presents Ballentine book of Ballads"  This  booklet contains the words to many songs that were popular at that time.  It is in the shape of a beer mug was distributed by the Ballentine Inn for the 1939 New York's World Fair.  It is 10 1/2" tall and 7" wide including the handle and has the 3 ring logo on the front.  There is a crease on the top of the handle on the back cover but otherwise it is in very good condition.  It also describes the various Ballantines brews.

Item number: 17571299 | This thermometer is from Peerless Trailers of Portland, Oregon. Peerless trailers are large trailers used mostly with semi trucks. The thermometer was made by Pam Clock Co. Inc of Rochelle, New York and is date 57 for 1957. This has great color and is in nice overall condition. The outer frame is made of aluminum and has nice patina with mounting tabs on back. There are some white specks on the inside of the glass along with a little dirt or dust. Measures 12" in diameter and 2" thick. There are no chips or cracks to the glass.

Item number: 17571501 | The American Brewing and Malting Company opened in Great Falls, Montana, in 1895. It produced beer and malt for Great Falls and surrounding areas. It closed in 1919 with Prohibition. From what we were able to find the Conrad Banking Company was in operation till 1914. So this sheet of five "5" unused checks would be from that period. They have been professionally framed and matted with Tru Vue conservation glass in the custom frame. Here is your chance to own a neat piece of Pre Prohibition history of Montana. Size framed is approximately 13" x 21".

Item number: 17571502 | Voyage au Pays de Cocagne or "Journey to the Land of Plenty" is the name of the game that this item is promoting. This is either the cover art or the poster for the game. It is absolutely charming in it's illustration, showing children in their fantasy land of candy. It is in excellent condition, and mounted archivally using the process of linen-backing. It has a 2 inch white linen-backing border beyond what you see in the photograph. The dimensions without the linen are 13 1/8 x 18 1/8 inches. The printing is stone lithography and there is a glossiness to the surface.

The plate would have been original and in this case, printed and bound later for publication, 1860's originally, bound later, perhaps at the turn of the 20th century. It is printed on both side with the reverse side also showing a great old image Abraham Lincoln and a brief biography. Size of the front side: 23 1/8 x 16 3/4 inches, Lincoln on the reverse being 11 1/2 x 16 3/4.

The handle is believed to be made of the horn of a water buffalo with a brass attachment at the base of the sword. The blade has a few nicks and dings as well as residue from a sticker and the handle is in very good condition - otherwise the sword is in very good condition for its age.

It is for the event in Barcelona and starring Florencio Casado, better known as "El Hencho" and Julo Vega also known as "El Marismeno" and Juan Jose. The size is 21 3/8 x 41 3/4 inches. It has been linen backed to conserve and restore it. It has all the qualifying printers' and publishers' marks, see photos.

Item number: 17571512 | Good for hours of fun - This is a set of 3 vintage all uncut paper doll books.  The first is of Peachy and Her Puppets dated 1974, it includes Peachy and 4 puppets along with Peachy's clothes.  There is a small amount of wear on the cover with some slight smudging on Peachy, the clothing is in excellent condition. It is based on a Mattel Talking Doll and is approximately 12"x9".  The second book is Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm of the Flintstones  dated 1965.  It is licensed by Hanna Barbera and includes Pebbles, Bamm-Bamm and Dino.  It measures  approximately 13"x10" and is in excellent condition.  The third book is Barbie's Beach Bus featuring Barbie, Ken and Skipper along with clothing for all plus a surfboard and the bus.  It is dated 1976 and is in excellent condition.

A quick handful of coins had a large silver coin from 1817 to one from the Bank of Indonesia from 1978. Most of the coins are pre 1950, with over 125 coins in this lot there are coins from Canada, Hong Kong, Mexico, Italy, India, Great Britain, New Zealand and Australia to name some of the countries. One neat coin is a large silver coin about the size of a silver dollar, it is a 1856 5 Francs, on the back side there are lines scratched into the coin to divide it into eight sections almost like someone was going to cut it into pieces of eight. Just for curiosity we weight the lot and it is over 1 1/2 pounds, there are many interesting and perhaps valuable coins in this lot. Good Luck!

The second piece in this lot - the cup with handle - also features a decal of Orphan Annie singing the praises of Ovaltine to Sandy and was released in 1933. Both pieces are in excellent condition and are hard to come by in this condition. âThe bottom of the both pieces bears the mark "'Beetleware' Manufactured exclusively for the Wander Co., Chicago Makers of Ovaltine." It features a color pull out showing many of the floats in the parade. It is approximately 6 1/2 x 4 1/4". Playing in the game were Alabama against USC. The Rose Bowl boasted a record crowd of 94,000 that day as Alabama defeated USC 34 to 14. This was the last time Alabama played in the Rose Bowl as The Tournament of Roses struck a deal in 1947 to play only the champions of the Pacific Coast and Big Ten conferences.

Item number: 17571411 | This is a great little collection of California gold. For the most part it was gathered and put together in Calavaras County California in the 1950s. There are three gold samples in this collection the first being a piece of gold bearing quartz that is 3/4" x 3/8" x 1/4" and is 3.8 grams. The next two pieces were both marked as panned from rivers and gravel banks in Calavaras County, first is a small nugget that is 1/2" x 1/4" x 1/8" and is 2 grams. Last is a sample of loose gold dust or flakes it is in a 2 x 2 coin holder and we estimate the gold weight at 1 gram. So in total there is 6.8 grams or a little over 5 penny weight. The collection this came from this was displayed to help show how California's gold played a part in the Civil War and United States history of the West.

Item number: 17571538 | This lot consists of 4 Heinz juice glasses and 4 wrapped straws.  The front of the glasses read  tomato juice with the Heinz man shown above it.  On the back is a listing of the other 8 Heinz juices printed in the company logo.  The straws are in their original wrapper with "Heinz Pure Fruit Juices - 9 Refreshing Flavors" printed along with the Heinz 57 logo.  The glasses are 5" tall and 2" wide at the base.  They are all in excellent condition with no chips or scratches.  The straws are also in excellent condition.  The glasses are very solid.  Would great in somebody's kitchen.

Item number: 17571419 | Offered is a Spanish 8 reales that was minted from 1732-1826. These coins are round made of silver and feature the Pillars of Hercules surrounding crowned, conjoined globes and ocean waves below, hence the other name for this coin, "Pillar Dollar". Many countries in both European and Asian used these coins. In the United States these coins were legal tender up until the Civil War period. Milled Dollars had a powerful effect on the U.S. coinage system. Our silver dollar was based on the Spanish Milled Dollar and some of the slang expressions referring to this money still survive today. As an example, the 8 Reales were often cut into 8 "bits" to make change. Each bit was worth 12 1/2 cents (100 divided by 8). Though rapidly fading now, the expression 2 bits still refers to a quarter dollar.

This is a Jennings Brothers animal sculpture of a hunting dog with rabbit. It is marked JB 1619 is approximately 5" x 3 1/2".  Has great detail, feels smooth to the touch, is hollow and weighs 11.6 ounces. The company started a metalworking foundry in Bridgeport, Connecticut in 1890. It continued production into the early 1950s. They specialized in Nouveau or metal art. Their original items were signed with the initials "JB" on each piece. The metal of their choice was spelter or a white metal that melts at a fairly low temperature. It is often colored to look like bronze or silver.

The machine is identical to the machines made by Oak Manufacturing and may have been made by them for Universal as they did make custom machines for other vendors in there early years during the late 1940s. The machine has an embossed lid that reads Universal Vendors of St. Louis, MO. Almond-ette the thank you cover also features an image of a globe which we had not seen before either. Instead of the usual glass globe this features a metal top with 3 removable clear plastic panels; one has an original decals that mentions almond-ettes. Size is approximately 14 x 6 1/2 x 6 1/2. The machine was filled to take pictures and will be sent empty. The machine has an adjustable wheel inside and can vend any type of bulk candy, gum or nuts.

We have done our best to grade the condition of each comic on our own. Most comics very very well taken care of and will be anywhere from VG/FN to VF/NM. Please refer to the following guide for details on each separate condition grade.

VF/NM 9.0 - 1/8 inch bend with no color break, very minor foxing allowed, small amount of cover wear, several date stamps and or small hidden initials allowed, slight staple tears allowed. Minor accumulation of stress lines allowed and some very minor interior tears allowed.

VF+ 8.5 - 1/4 inch cover crease with no color break allowed, minor spine split with some minor color break allowed. Some slightly more noticeable stress lines allowed and paper can be cream to tan but must remain supple.

VF 8.0 - Same as 8.5 but with some very very minor spine roll - must lay almost completely flat.

VF- 7.5 - Same as 8.0 but cover can have light cover soiling and some interior pages can have slight corner tears. Cover can have some corner wear.

FN/VF 7.0 -  Moderate reduction of cover reflectivity - minor creases allowed, minor foxing, interior cover yellowing. Date stamps, initials and store stamps are allowed. Slight rust migration allowed - blunted corners, minor margin tears on interior pages allowed. More and deeper stress lines allowed.

FN+ 6.5 - Up to 1/4 inch spine split or severe color break are allowed. Minor spine rolls allowed and cover can have minor discoloration, staining and/or foxing as well as minor to moderate cover creases.

FN 6.0 - Same as 6.5 with a loose but attached centerfold.

FN- 5.5 - Same as above but with some marvel chipping present as well as some bundling ridges and minor abraded edges. Also light pencil marks possible.

VG/FN 5.0 - Low cover gloss, possible minor to moderate dimples and creases present. Up to 1/2 inch spine split - moderate rolling of the spine. May also have the beginning of an acid odor.

VG+ 4.5 - Cover wear is moderate to significant - cover may be loose. Cover may be faded and staples discolored, moderate staple tears. Up to 1" spine split, moderate stress lines and moderate interior tears. Minor odor, minor repairs and up to a 1/4 inch triangle or 1/8 square missing (must not effect story). Pages can be brown but not brittle.

VG 4.0 - Same as above but with heavy spine wear and brown staining on cover. Some pen and/or pencil writing is common but should not be excessive.

This unit is made of brass and steel, with some wear and slight oxidation to the metal body. This is a functioning unit, the glass lenses and levels are all working and intact. This transit comes with its original wooden case. The transit has everything you need to affix it to a tripod. Size is approximate 10" x 6" x 4 1/2".

Item number: 17571424 | This cartridge box is believed to be from the Civil War era and was manufactured by Boyd & Sons of Boston, MA. There is a large "US" plate on the outside flap. The inside flap bears an imprint/logo of the manufacturer and reads "Boyd & Sons Manufacturers of Army accouterments Boston." The leather strap on the outside flap is still intact. One of the two buckles on the bottom of the box has become detached, thus damaging the surrounding leather. The detached buckle is still included as part of this lot. The leather is cracking in certain areas and shows wear from age, otherwise the cartridge box is in very good condition for its age. âThis cartidge box was believed to be used by Union soldier Private Harrison D. Eastman - 45th Regiment, Pennsylvania Infantry. Measures 6.5" tall x 8" wide x 2" deep.

It is promoting the famous bullfighter "Carnicerito de Ubeda", Antonio Millán, as well as "Utrerita", or Antonio Garia and Manuel Rodriguez. This rare poster has been linen backed to conserve and restore it. It has a few fixed tears, and one spot in the lower right border that has been repaired with old paper. It's in pretty good condition considering its age. The size is 20 1/2 x 37 3/8 inches.

The artist, Chikanobu, is well known for his illustrations of women, usually romanticized. These characters appear bold and adventurous. The condition is okay, with some discoloration along the bottom, see photos. The size is 28 1/2 x 14 1/8 inches, with each panel being around 9 3/8" wide. The date on this is 1896. The publisher is Fukuda Kumajiro, artist signed: Yoshu Chikanobu.

The sign looks like it was not used and even has some paper on the edges of some letters.

Both issues have been sealed and in storage - however, both do have occasional rips, tears and overall yellowing, which is normal with a paper magazine this old. Both issues are still very readable and the Bob Dylan issue still has its cover attached to the staples - the David Bowie issue has no staples, as the magazine didn't incorporate them at that time. Measures 13.5" x 11.5".

The puzzle art was done by Alan Foster, the famous illustrator who did many magazine covers of the 1930s-40s. Black Jack chewing gum was a favorite of its day - along with Clove-Beemins Pepsin - and was made by the American Chicle Company. The puzzle is complete and in excellent condition. Measures 7" x 10.25".

We have decided to not professionally grade these comics so as to offer the customer the best value possible on each individual comic. We have done our best to grade the condition of each comic on our own. Most comics very very well taken care of and will be anywhere from VG/FN to VF/NM. Please refer to the following guide for details on each separate condition grade.

VF/NM 9.0 - 1/8 inch bend with no color break, very minor foxing allowed, small amount of cover wear, several date stamps and or small hidden initials allowed, slight staple tears allowed. Minor accumulation of stress lines allowed and some very minor interior tears allowed.

VF+ 8.5 - 1/4 inch cover crease with no color break allowed, minor spine split with some minor color break allowed. Some slightly more noticeable stress lines allowed and paper can be cream to tan but must remain supple.

VF 8.0 - Same as 8.5 but with some very very minor spine roll - must lay almost completely flat.

VF- 7.5 - Same as 8.0 but cover can have light cover soiling and some interior pages can have slight corner tears. Cover can have some corner wear.

FN/VF 7.0 -  Moderate reduction of cover reflectivity - minor creases allowed, minor foxing, interior cover yellowing. Date stamps, initials and store stamps are allowed. Slight rust migration allowed - blunted corners, minor margin tears on interior pages allowed. More and deeper stress lines allowed.

FN+ 6.5 - Up to 1/4 inch spine split or severe color break are allowed. Minor spine rolls allowed and cover can have minor discoloration, staining and/or foxing as well as minor to moderate cover creases.

FN 6.0 - Same as 6.5 with a loose but attached centerfold.

FN- 5.5 - Same as above but with some marvel chipping present as well as some bundling ridges and minor abraded edges. Also light pencil marks possible.

VG/FN 5.0 - Low cover gloss, possible minor to moderate dimples and creases present. Up to 1/2 inch spine split - moderate rolling of the spine. May also have the beginning of an acid odor.

VG+ 4.5 - Cover wear is moderate to significant - cover may be loose. Cover may be faded and staples discolored, moderate staple tears. Up to 1" spine split, moderate stress lines and moderate interior tears. Minor odor, minor repairs and up to a 1/4 inch triangle or 1/8 square missing (must not effect story). Pages can be brown but not brittle.

VG 4.0 - Same as above but with heavy spine wear and brown staining on cover. Some pen and/or pencil writing is common but should not be excessive.

There is a small chip on the top lip of the bowl. Has nice color and overall patina, show appropriate wear from use.

There is a 4 1/2" crease on the upper right side of the photo but the subject matter is so striking it is not distracting. 
This is not a  reprint but an original and one of the nicest we have seen to date.

Founded in 1866 in Decatur, Illinois, it was dissolved in 1956 when its last member died. The GAR was among the first organized advocacy groups in American politics, supporting voting rights for black veterans, lobbying the US Congress to establish veterans' pensions, and supporting Republican political candidates. The badge with the star at the bottom and eagle at the top was authorized by Congress to be worn on the uniform by Union veterans. The other four pin back buttons are from different GAR events and or encampments. They are all approximately 1 1/4 in size. The one on the bottom right has some foxing, the rest do not.

There is a flat notch at the base on one side so it looks more like an arrowhead. It was found circa 1960 at the Maybe Site on the Columbia River. It is a well known Late Archaic to Paleo site that produced many points and tools. This is one of the more unusual arrowheads from this collection. Size is approximately 1 1/2" x 1/2". This was found by Walt and Gladys Koch members of the Oregon Archeology Society.

4 Orlginal Antique Gil Blas Publications with Illustrations by Post Impressionist Steinlen
Item number: 17571445 | Evoking the feeling of Paris during the Belle Epoque, these saucy weekly magazines promoted current events, writers and music. The main artist for these had been Theophile Steinlen, who did the cover art, back and front. He had been a compatriot of Toulouse Lautrec. We have seen the covers of these sold in Vintage Poster Galleries for hundreds of dollars. The printing is terrific stone lithography. The size on each is 16 1/4 x 11 inches. The condition is somewhat rough looking, with detachment along the seam. Considering their age, mid 1890's, they are in pretty decent shape. -see our other set of four Gil Blas in the auction.

From England or Ireland for an Irish company, the printing appears to be stone lithography. It has been carefully removed from it's original packaging and place upon linen-backing (acid-free paper over canvas). It would have originally been place on the windows of the train cars. The size is 12 1/4 x 13 3/8 inches. There has been some touch-up in small places where the colors have flaked off. The item will be shipped flat.

Lorillard Co and the third from  Arthur Leonard of Portland, Oregon - the rarest of the lot.  They are all in very good condition except one has a small 'nip' on the corner.  They each measure 2 3/4" wide by 4 1/2" tall.

We have decided to not professionally grade these comics so as to offer the customer the best value possible on each individual comic. We have done our best to grade the condition of each comic on our own. Most comics very very well taken care of and will be anywhere from VG/FN to VF/NM. Please refer to the following guide for details on each separate condition grade.

VF/NM 9.0 - 1/8 inch bend with no color break, very minor foxing allowed, small amount of cover wear, several date stamps and or small hidden initials allowed, slight staple tears allowed. Minor accumulation of stress lines allowed and some very minor interior tears allowed.

VF+ 8.5 - 1/4 inch cover crease with no color break allowed, minor spine split with some minor color break allowed. Some slightly more noticeable stress lines allowed and paper can be cream to tan but must remain supple.

VF 8.0 - Same as 8.5 but with some very very minor spine roll - must lay almost completely flat.

VF- 7.5 - Same as 8.0 but cover can have light cover soiling and some interior pages can have slight corner tears. Cover can have some corner wear.

FN/VF 7.0 -  Moderate reduction of cover reflectivity - minor creases allowed, minor foxing, interior cover yellowing. Date stamps, initials and store stamps are allowed. Slight rust migration allowed - blunted corners, minor margin tears on interior pages allowed. More and deeper stress lines allowed.

FN+ 6.5 - Up to 1/4 inch spine split or severe color break are allowed. Minor spine rolls allowed and cover can have minor discoloration, staining and/or foxing as well as minor to moderate cover creases.

FN 6.0 - Same as 6.5 with a loose but attached centerfold.

FN- 5.5 - Same as above but with some marvel chipping present as well as some bundling ridges and minor abraded edges. Also light pencil marks possible.

VG/FN 5.0 - Low cover gloss, possible minor to moderate dimples and creases present. Up to 1/2 inch spine split - moderate rolling of the spine. May also have the beginning of an acid odor.

VG+ 4.5 - Cover wear is moderate to significant - cover may be loose. Cover may be faded and staples discolored, moderate staple tears. Up to 1" spine split, moderate stress lines and moderate interior tears. Minor odor, minor repairs and up to a 1/4 inch triangle or 1/8 square missing (must not effect story). Pages can be brown but not brittle.

VG 4.0 - Same as above but with heavy spine wear and brown staining on cover. Some pen and/or pencil writing is common but should not be excessive.

Kickapoo Joy Juice was made by Moxie, with Al Kapp giving them the copyright for the bottle in 1965. Later, in 1977, they incorporated Lil' Abner & Daisy Mae in their advertising. Niether the bottle or the glass have any flaws, chips or cracks - the lettering and graphics on the bottle and glass are as bright as new. Glass measures 5" x 2.75" in diameter - bottle measures 9.5" tall.

The lighter has a rather unique design so please see the photos. The other has the later logo after the brewery was purchased by Sick's Brewery. This lighter was made by Berkeley and is a wind proof lighter. Both lighter were made in the U.S.A. and are marked as such. The first lighter is 1 1/2" x 1 3/4" x 1/2" the Sick's lighter is 2 1/4" x 1 5/8" x 1/2". Both are gold tone with red writing, the Sick's lighter has a black top and is in its original box.

Size is approximately 18 1/2" x 13.

This is a very nice indoor can with great color and shine. The can was recently found full and has been bottom opened. The bottom of the can has some green paint loss and there are a few case dings along the rims with some humidity spot here and there. This is one of the cleanest examples of this can we have seen.

The Mission Santa Barbara still has its gold rim intact and has one fleabite/chip. The Carmel Mission glass has no chips or gold rim. Size of both glasses is approximately 2 7/8" x 2" the Carmel glass is slightly shorter and may have been polished to remove chips.

There are two very small dents but it is overall in very good condition.  It has a tight hinge and lid and measures approximately 2 1/4" .  The second is from the 1933 Century of Progress Worlds Fair also held in Chicago. It is a penny match box holder and has the logo for the Fair on the front.  It is for a small match box measuring approximately 1 5/8" x 1 1/8".  Included is a small match box.  It shows slight wear on the back but is otherwise in very good condition.

A piece in the lower left-hand corner - about 1/8" by 1/4" - has been reattached. This does not detract from the piece's appeal and is only being mentioned for accuracy. Measures 10" wide by 15" tall.

The box is in good condition. Box measures 11.5" x 3" x 2" deep.

The size when put together is 28 3/4 x 14 5/8 inches, with each panel being approximately 9 3/4" wide.

We have done our best to grade the condition of each comic on our own. Most comics very very well taken care of and will be anywhere from VG/FN to VF/NM. Please refer to the following guide for details on each separate condition grade.

VF/NM 9.0 - 1/8 inch bend with no color break, very minor foxing allowed, small amount of cover wear, several date stamps and or small hidden initials allowed, slight staple tears allowed. Minor accumulation of stress lines allowed and some very minor interior tears allowed.

VF+ 8.5 - 1/4 inch cover crease with no color break allowed, minor spine split with some minor color break allowed. Some slightly more noticeable stress lines allowed and paper can be cream to tan but must remain supple.

VF 8.0 - Same as 8.5 but with some very very minor spine roll - must lay almost completely flat.

VF- 7.5 - Same as 8.0 but cover can have light cover soiling and some interior pages can have slight corner tears. Cover can have some corner wear.

FN/VF 7.0 -  Moderate reduction of cover reflectivity - minor creases allowed, minor foxing, interior cover yellowing. Date stamps, initials and store stamps are allowed. Slight rust migration allowed - blunted corners, minor margin tears on interior pages allowed. More and deeper stress lines allowed.

FN+ 6.5 - Up to 1/4 inch spine split or severe color break are allowed. Minor spine rolls allowed and cover can have minor discoloration, staining and/or foxing as well as minor to moderate cover creases.

FN 6.0 - Same as 6.5 with a loose but attached centerfold.

FN- 5.5 - Same as above but with some marvel chipping present as well as some bundling ridges and minor abraded edges. Also light pencil marks possible.

VG/FN 5.0 - Low cover gloss, possible minor to moderate dimples and creases present. Up to 1/2 inch spine split - moderate rolling of the spine. May also have the beginning of an acid odor.

VG+ 4.5 - Cover wear is moderate to significant - cover may be loose. Cover may be faded and staples discolored, moderate staple tears. Up to 1" spine split, moderate stress lines and moderate interior tears. Minor odor, minor repairs and up to a 1/4 inch triangle or 1/8 square missing (must not effect story). Pages can be brown but not brittle.

VG 4.0 - Same as above but with heavy spine wear and brown staining on cover. Some pen and/or pencil writing is common but should not be excessive.

The smallest is still of nice size at 1 1/2" x 7/8". They were found by Walt and Gladys Koch.

We have done our best to grade the condition of each comic on our own. Most comics very very well taken care of and will be anywhere from VG/FN to VF/NM. Please refer to the following guide for details on each separate condition grade.

VF/NM 9.0 - 1/8 inch bend with no color break, very minor foxing allowed, small amount of cover wear, several date stamps and or small hidden initials allowed, slight staple tears allowed. Minor accumulation of stress lines allowed and some very minor interior tears allowed.

VF+ 8.5 - 1/4 inch cover crease with no color break allowed, minor spine split with some minor color break allowed. Some slightly more noticeable stress lines allowed and paper can be cream to tan but must remain supple.

VF 8.0 - Same as 8.5 but with some very very minor spine roll - must lay almost completely flat.

VF- 7.5 - Same as 8.0 but cover can have light cover soiling and some interior pages can have slight corner tears. Cover can have some corner wear.

FN/VF 7.0 -  Moderate reduction of cover reflectivity - minor creases allowed, minor foxing, interior cover yellowing. Date stamps, initials and store stamps are allowed. Slight rust migration allowed - blunted corners, minor margin tears on interior pages allowed. More and deeper stress lines allowed.

FN+ 6.5 - Up to 1/4 inch spine split or severe color break are allowed. Minor spine rolls allowed and cover can have minor discoloration, staining and/or foxing as well as minor to moderate cover creases.

FN 6.0 - Same as 6.5 with a loose but attached centerfold.

FN- 5.5 - Same as above but with some marvel chipping present as well as some bundling ridges and minor abraded edges. Also light pencil marks possible.

VG/FN 5.0 - Low cover gloss, possible minor to moderate dimples and creases present. Up to 1/2 inch spine split - moderate rolling of the spine. May also have the beginning of an acid odor.

VG+ 4.5 - Cover wear is moderate to significant - cover may be loose. Cover may be faded and staples discolored, moderate staple tears. Up to 1" spine split, moderate stress lines and moderate interior tears. Minor odor, minor repairs and up to a 1/4 inch triangle or 1/8 square missing (must not effect story). Pages can be brown but not brittle.

VG 4.0 - Same as above but with heavy spine wear and brown staining on cover. Some pen and/or pencil writing is common but should not be excessive.

Located near Five Mile Rapids, Wakemap Mound is a mound at the site of Wishram Village. The site is now surrounded by water caused by the construction of The Dalles Dam. All the artifacts we are offering were found by Walt and Gladys Koch members of the Oregon Archeology Society between 1955 and 1965.

The mirror is in its original chrome frame and has a small mounting hook on back. The cardboard easel is missing from the back of the sign. There is some paint loss to the front of the mirror by the ER in Heidelberg. It does not take away from the rest of the image of their famous student prince they used so much from the mid 1930s till the late 1950s. Size is 10 x 5. There are no chips or cracks.

Item number: 17571363 | This is one of the best vintage thermometers out there.  If it did not read "temperature" on top, it could easily be mistaken for a scale. The front glass reads "Temperature with Premium Highlander Beer in the center and Missoula Brewing Co Missoula Montana" along the bottom. This has a curved glass face with an aluminum ring holding it to the plastic back. It was manufactured by Advertising Products Inc. Cincinnati 23, Ohio by Union workers according to the sticker on the back. Size is 13 1/2" across x 2" deep. The brewery for Highlander Beer sat at the base of Waterworks Hill in Missoula, near Rattlesnake Creek. When Interstate 90 came through the area in the early 1960's, it meant the end of the brewery. They closed for good in 1964. Works and looks Great!. There are some reflections in the pictures.

The size is 21 1/2 x 35 inches, with the linen-backing extending another two inches on all four sides.

The main artist for these had been Theophile Steinlen, who did the cover art, back and front. He had been a compatriot of Toulouse Lautrec. We have seen the covers of these sold in Vintage Poster Galleries for hundreds of dollars. The printing is terrific stone lithography. The size on each is 16 1/4 x 11 inches. The condition is somewhat rough looking, with detachment along the seam. Considering their age, mid 1890's, they are in pretty decent shape.

I used one of these for years to grind my coffee at home, they were made by the Hobart Manufacturing Company in Troy, Ohio. It is complete and works perfectly. It even comes with the original measuring glass marked Kitchen Aid. Coffee Mill measures 14" tall x 5" in diameter. There are no chips or crack in the glass or jar. The black ring at the bottom of the jar turns to adjust the grind size of the coffee from fine to coarse, the jar unscrews from the machine for easy cleaning. If you like to grind your own coffee you won't find a better coffee mill at any price.

The tray resembles the label used on both their can and bottle for the same beer with a yellow background and a cowboy on a bucking horse. Item number: 17571248 | 1994 Wheaties cereal box celebrating the NFL's 75th Anniversary.  It is autographed by the late Sammy Baugh, who played quarter back for the Washington Redskins from 1937 to 1952 and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1963.  Consignor knows the autograph is authentic, as his son was close friends of Baugh's. He had signed many things for him over the years of which this was one of them.

This lot we placed on a scale and it weighs approximately 2 pounds. There are several different styles and types of marbles they range in size from 1/2" up to about 1". Some of the marbles have some uranium salts in the glass that glows in the dark under UV black light. Looking through the marbles many look to be in excellent shape, we did however see a couple with chips and or scratches so the lot is sold as-is. The other lot of marbles are all clay marbles and can be found at lot #314.

Livingston, Montana features an original stone litho of the English Springer Spaniel.  The design was copyrighted by Chas. Garnier of Livingston, Montana and is in overall very good condition.  The box measures 7 1/2" x 5 1/2' x 3 1/2".  Also included is an unused book of matches advertising the Montana Sport Cigar, Garnier Cigar Co.  This is in excellent condition and would made a wonderful addition to any collection.

Checking our reference books and such we found six different California Brewing Companies listed, they ranged in date from 1900 until 1958 with most all of them being in San Francisco. This wagon is one of the earliest looking ones we have seen. It has a small Christmas size light bulb and has an old ceramic base to hold the bulb inside the wagon. Other than some dust this is in nice overall condition. The light inside is blue and flashes on and off to help draw you to the piece. Size is approximately 16 x 5 1/2" x 8 1/2".

It is described as an important piece of musical history. Music by Jules Massenet. It is an opera that takes place in ancient Persia. In the poster we see Zarastra the Persian general with his beloved Touranian queen, Anahita, as the rejected goddess of love, Varedha, expires in the ruins. Great fun. The printing is amazing on this item, stone lithography and iridescent gold ink. It is in great condition with one tiny bit of invisible piece-in in the lower left border, linen-backed with 2 inch borders. Size: 25 3/8 x 35 1/4 inches.

It is an embossed sign with raised letters and boarder, size is 23 12" x 17 1/2". Gus' Topper Beer was named after Gustav Bischoff Jr., who with other members of his family bought the Kalispell brewery in 1935. Gus' Topper was brewed starting in 1952 and continued until the brewery a few years later.

The consignor of this item said in his 40 years of collecting premiums he has never seen one of these rockets complete. Even the picture in Hake's Toy Book does not show the complete premium. Every piece is clean and in good working order. A must have for any Superman collector.

It is a well known Late Archaic to Paleo site that produced many points and tools. This is one of the more unusual arrowheads from this collection. Size is approximately 7/8" x 5/8". This was found by Walt and Gladys Koch members of the Oregon Archeology Society.

Item number: 17571252 | This vintage hickory gold club was made by the American Metal Products Company (AMPCO), which started making golf club heads in the late 1920s to early 1930s. AMPCO marketed their club heads as "Harder Than Steel," a mark which can be seen on the club head itself, right underneath the "AMPCO METAL" stamping. It is rumored that AMPCO used beryllium copper in their alloy, thus giving their metal its strength. The club head is labeled as a "Jigger 14" and has a 31-degree loft. The club measures 37.5" long from the top of the club head to the base of the shaft. The shaft itself is made of hickory and does not have any cracks or bends in the wood. The grip has some damage to it but is still intact and attached to the club. Overall, the club is in excellent condition.

The sign or clock has an aluminum frame with two vacuformed plastic fronts. The picture of the mountain is printed on plastic and taped to the front of the one panel while the Great Falls logo and clock are printed on to the face of the other. There is a pull chain on / off switch for the light, also a small crack top center edge of the mountain scene mention for accuracy. Size is 24 1/2" x 12 x 4 1/2".

We have decided to not professionally grade these comics so as to offer the customer the best value possible on each individual comic. We have done our best to grade the condition of each comic on our own. Most comics very very well taken care of and will be anywhere from VG/FN to VF/NM. Please refer to the following guide for details on each separate condition grade.

VF/NM 9.0 - 1/8 inch bend with no color break, very minor foxing allowed, small amount of cover wear, several date stamps and or small hidden initials allowed, slight staple tears allowed. Minor accumulation of stress lines allowed and some very minor interior tears allowed.

VF+ 8.5 - 1/4 inch cover crease with no color break allowed, minor spine split with some minor color break allowed. Some slightly more noticeable stress lines allowed and paper can be cream to tan but must remain supple.

VF 8.0 - Same as 8.5 but with some very very minor spine roll - must lay almost completely flat.

VF- 7.5 - Same as 8.0 but cover can have light cover soiling and some interior pages can have slight corner tears. Cover can have some corner wear.

FN/VF 7.0 -  Moderate reduction of cover reflectivity - minor creases allowed, minor foxing, interior cover yellowing. Date stamps, initials and store stamps are allowed. Slight rust migration allowed - blunted corners, minor margin tears on interior pages allowed. More and deeper stress lines allowed.

FN+ 6.5 - Up to 1/4 inch spine split or severe color break are allowed. Minor spine rolls allowed and cover can have minor discoloration, staining and/or foxing as well as minor to moderate cover creases.

FN 6.0 - Same as 6.5 with a loose but attached centerfold.

FN- 5.5 - Same as above but with some marvel chipping present as well as some bundling ridges and minor abraded edges. Also light pencil marks possible.

VG/FN 5.0 - Low cover gloss, possible minor to moderate dimples and creases present. Up to 1/2 inch spine split - moderate rolling of the spine. May also have the beginning of an acid odor.

VG+ 4.5 - Cover wear is moderate to significant - cover may be loose. Cover may be faded and staples discolored, moderate staple tears. Up to 1" spine split, moderate stress lines and moderate interior tears. Minor odor, minor repairs and up to a 1/4 inch triangle or 1/8 square missing (must not effect story). Pages can be brown but not brittle.

VG 4.0 - Same as above but with heavy spine wear and brown staining on cover. Some pen and/or pencil writing is common but should not be excessive.

Located near Five Mile Rapids, Wakemap Mound is a mound at the site of Wishram Village. The site is now surrounded by water caused by the construction of The Dalles Dam. All the artifacts we are offering were found by Walt and Gladys Koch members of the Oregon Archeology Society "OAS" between 1955 and 1965. This piece was even pictured in the OAS publication Wakemap Mound printed in 1959.

Next are three Montana state highway maps from 1939, 1941 & 1942 closed they are 4 1/4" x 9 3/8". The booklet has a small tear on the right center of the cover and first page otherwise looks unused . All the maps show signs of use with wear to the folds. All the items have great graphics and art work! In the pictures is the inside of one page from the booklet and a map opened on one side, the other side shows the entire state.

Item number: 17571261 | Get a head start on the holidays with these 2 books.  The first, "The Night Before Christmas" is dated 1938 and was illustrated by Elizabeth Tedder.  Besides the popular Christmas poem there are cutouts, all intact, of Santa in his sleigh and his eight reindeer.  The cover shows some slight wear but the overall condition is very good.  It measures 12" x 8 3/4".  The second book, Easter Greeting Cards, was designed by Eve Rockwell and dated 1947.  It is included in the Special Collections and Archives Collection at Kent State University.  This book includes 26 cards, all unused and in excellent condition.  The book measures approximately 13 1/2"x 9 1/4"

They look to be from the late 1930s by the patent number and are from Old American Brand Whiskies and The American Distilling Company of Pekin, Illinois. Near the top of the page by the cartoon like character is a spot that reads "Touch Lighted End of Cigarette Here." There is a starting line with three horses and a race track. It looks like once you light it, the paper starts burning and the horses take off in a race. It also looks like when held to the light that the paper was soaked in something to make the horses follow the track. Each sheet is 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" and was made by Twenty First Century Novelty Company of New York.

Item number: 17571385 | This is a 1930s Highlander Pilsener Brew Beer sign from the Missoula Brewing Company in Missoula, Montana. Both of the paper label bottles have the longer Internal Revenue Tax Paid statement that was used prior to 1940. This sign looks like it was never used and is 19 1/2" x 13 3/4". Other than a couple dings to the top corners this sign is as clean as you will ever find.

Each panel depicts an aspect of a greater scene. Works like this depict well known stories, fiction and non-fiction. The date on this is around 1880. The artist is unknown to us. The size put-together is 28 3/4 x 14 inches, each panel approximately 9 1/2" wide. The details and printing quality is outstanding. There is some paper residue in places on the reverse, see photo. And there is some discoloration in the sky on the left-most panel.
