Manufactured in 1953 as per serial number. This S&W Model 40 or �Centennial� in 38 Spl is a very early production model. It is a J Frame revolver with a blued finish and an internal DAO hammer with an added special feature of a grip safety located on the rear of the frame. It features a 5 shot fluted cylinder, fixed sights, a 2� barrel, and smooth factory walnut grips. The ideal concealed carry revolver! Includes a leather holster. It has signs of normal use.
