“Collectable” Luger P-08 “Sneak” pistol, featuring an “88 X” marking as this was a Soviet captured pistol adding it to be a highly desirable variation produced during the early Nazi rearmament period (roughly 19331934). These pistols were designed to evade Treaty of Versailles inspectors by lacking manufacturer codes (like S/42) and chamber dates. These are often DWM Commercial .30 Luger manufactured guns assembled or refurbished by Mauser in the early 1930s, featuring no date stamp on the chamber. The lack of markings was intentional to hide rearmament efforts from international inspectors, often called “Sneak” or “1930s” pistols. Many of these “Sneak” Lugers have been found with police modifications, such as the addition of a sear safety, though some appear to be military intended. Includes a 1934 Karl Ackva AG Bad Kreuznach brown leather holster that appears to have been used at the same time, 2 magazines one with a brown bakelite bottom and the other with black, and a Luger tool.
