The 1996 Ruger No. 1 NRA Commemorative Edition was a special, limited-run rifle celebrating the National Rifle Association’s 125th Anniversary, chambered in .338 Winchester Magnum, featuring elaborate gold-inlaid scrollwork, an engraved NRA shield, and scenes of elk, marking it a highly collectible piece often sold with an oak case and scope mounts, numbered out of 550 produced. This is #463 of the 550. Beautifle blued finish with orate floral scroll engraving with gold inlays, including an NRA shield and elk vignettes on the receiver. High-grade, checkered American walnut. Integral scope mounts on the quarter rib. Voted the 1996 “Gun of the Year” by some, making it a significant collector’s item. Includes a 20 rnd box of Winchester Supreme Ballistic Silvertip. Does not appear to have been fired outside of factory testing. Stock has a few small scratches and small dents. Please see photos
