An antique U.S. Model 1861 Rifle-Musket, made on contract by Caspar D. Schubarth of Providence, Rhode Island. Only 9,500 of these rifles came out of this contract. Dated 1862 This rifle remains in poor condition showing extensive wood damage around metals, shows possibly a repaired stock after a split, Pitting scattered throughout metals, a dark and dirty bore, and missing ram rod. This Rifle will make a good wall hanger and discussion piece. Appears to function as should, Bore measured 60. Please see photos. C&R
