The Langgewehr 1889 (or Model 1889) is a legendary Swiss service rifle. Famous for its revolutionary straight-pull bolt action and a 12rnd detachable magazine, it was the first Swiss rifle to fire the 7.5×53.5mm Swiss (GP90) cartridge. It set the standard for generations of Schmidt-Rubin firearms. It served as the primary service rifle for the Swiss Army from 1891 through the early 1930s. It is in its original blued finish with a full length straight stock and adjustable sights with the rear graduated from 300 to 2000 meters. Matching numbers gun with Swiss cartouches. There are some dents and dings in the stock and some very minor finish wear and a very bright bore. Please see photos. Antique No FFL Needed In Some States.
