This custom 2002 FN America Hi-Power Mk III (S) single-action 9mm pistol (Serial Number: 511MY52896) features master-tier customization by the late Jim Garthwaite and his apprentice, Colby Adler. Finished in an ultra-durable NiB-X Nickel Boron coating, this 1.875 lb combat pistol measures 7 ¾ inches in overall length with a 4 ?-inch barrel. The fire control group consists of a Garthwaite commander hammer, matching sear, upgraded safety, and a custom-designed Garthwaite flat-face trigger that breaks crisply at 4 pounds. The action runs entirely on new Browning OEM internal components and fresh Wolff springs, anchored by a heavy-duty 18.5 lb recoil spring.
The custom slide work features a flattened top with anti-glare grooves, a checkered rear face, a distinctive French border accent groove along the slide stop, and a 24kt gold dot front sight paired with a Heinie rear sight. The frame incorporates a perfectly blended custom beavertail, a polished feed ramp and throat, a complete de-horn job, and aggressive texturing on both the front and back straps. The frame is fitted with premium walnut grips and houses a crowned, custom-fitted Barsto barrel, with a spare custom-fit barrel included. This double-stack model provides a 15+1 round capacity. The overall condition of this custom pistol is very good. Please see the photos.
