This antique Marlin XX Standard 1873 pocket revolver (Serial Number: 7813) is a highly collectible, 19th-century American rimfire handgun manufactured by J.M. Marlin in New Haven, Connecticut. Produced between 1873 and 1887, the "XX Standard" models were engineered following the expiration of the Rollin White cylinder patents. They featured a classic single-action spur-trigger system, an iconic brass "birds-head" grip frame, and a tip-up barrel architecture modeled closely after early Smith & Wesson pocket revolvers. This specific specimen features a 3-inch round ribbed barrel, a 7-shot cylinder traditionally chambered for black-powder rimfire cartridges, and classic starburst-checkered hard rubber grips housing the serial number underneath the left panel. The top rib of the barrel is stamped with the distinctive "XX. STANDARD 1873" marking. The overall condition of this historic antique revolver is very good. Please see the photos.
