Soviet Tula Arsenal SKS-45 semi-automatic carbine, chambered in the classic 7.62x39mm caliber. This desirable Cold War military surplus rifle features a receiver cover clearly stamped with the iconic Tula star and the production year 1951 followed by the Cyrillic "r" (goda, meaning "in the year of"). Serial number RH207616 showcases a standard US importer-assigned or translated prefix common to early-wave Russian imports. Crucially for collectors, this carbine features original matching numbers across its primary components, preserving its historic configuration and direct mechanical lineage from the Tula factory floor. Complete with standard import marks, this all-matching 1951r Tula SKS-45 represents a cornerstone piece of Soviet military engineering and makes an exceptional addition to any military surplus or twentieth-century firearms collection; please see the photos.
