The Smith & Wesson Model 15-4 is a K-frame, double-action revolver chambered in .38 Special with a 6-round capacity. Smith & Wesson did not issue a factory “survival kit” configuration for the Model 15-4 (which was produced starting around 1977 without a pinned barrel). Factory-packaged “Emergency Survival (ES)” or disaster kits from S&W were introduced decades later for heavy-caliber handguns like the Model 500 or Model 460, or later J-frames like the Model 360.
