Manufactured in 1940 this Italian M38 carcano carbine also has the Fascist Era Roman Numeral XVIII stamped next to the 1940 date stamp for the year Mussolini was in power. This WWII era rifle has the caliber stamped onto the fixed 200 meter rear sight base as well. It has a smooth walnut stock with a steel buttplate, straight handle bolt, and a fixed striper clip fed magazine. It is a military surplus rifle with all the scratches, dent, dings, and finish wear.
