The Wise Lite Arms Sterling Sporter is a civilian, semi-automatic carbine built using surplus parts from the classic British Sterling L2A3 Mark 4 submachine gun. Distributed largely through Century Arms International, these firearms are highly collectible representations of cold-war history. To meet strict ATF regulations for civilian sale, Wise Lite Arms (WLA) heavily modified the original military open-bolt design by converting from the original open-bolt selective-fire system to a dedicated semi-automatic, closed-bolt design. It is fitted with an extended 16� barrel to comply with federal rifle length law and the barrel retention system is threaded differently than an original military Sterling, meaning surplus military barrels cannot be directly swapped into a Wise Lite receiver. It retains the iconic metal underfolding stock that locks tightly beneath the perforated cooling shroud. Includes 2 – 34rnd Sterling curved magazines. Please see photos.
