The Helwan is a licensed copy of the Beretta 1951 Brigadier pistol made by the Egyptian company Al Maadi. Imported into the US in the 1990�s by Interarms and Century Arms International. Production of this firearm occurred primarily during the 1950s and 1960s, with manufacturing taking place in Egypt under license. It was produced in significant numbers during this period to meet military and civilian demand in the region. Has signs of use with pitting, surface rust areas, scratches, and some finish wear.
