The Remington Sportsman 48 12ga is a classic, recoil-operated, semi-automatic shotgun produced from 1949 to 1968. Semi-automatic, long recoil-operated (the barrel moves backward with the bolt upon firing). known for its reliability. 12 gauge, designed for 2 3/4 inch shells. It has a walnut forend and stock with a rubber recoil pad, blued finish, front steel bead sight, and an adjustable Poly-Choke. Has signs of use with scratches, dents, and dings in the wood furniture, and some pitting on some metal areas (receiver,barrel). Please see photos. C&R
