Manufactured in 1984 as per serial number. This “Colt Factory Special Edition” was limited to only “1000 Units” this is #916. Features a Bright Stainless finish, blued front and rear dovetailed sights, smooth wood grips with silver Colt medallions, and 1 – 7 rnd magazine. When Colt started using stainless steel for their 1911’s they commemorated the change with this special run of 1,000 pistols from their Custom Shop, the �Silver Star�. Includes the factory Colt marked wood display chest and white gloves. It appears to have been fired at some point but might have been from test firing at the factory. Please see photos.
