It is known for its reliable, straightforward operation and represents a significant period in American firearm history. The W.H. Davenport Fire Arms Co. was an American firearms manufacturer founded by William H. Davenport in the late 1870s, operating a factory in Norwich, Connecticut, from 1891 until approximately 1910. The company was known for producing affordable yet robust and reliable single-shot shotguns. In its original patina, wood forend and stock with scratches, dings, dents, and a crack on the left sideby the rear tang. Please see photos. C&R
