Manufactured between 1981-1986 . The H&R Model 12 Match .22LR is a heavy-barreled, single-shot bolt-action target rifle known for its surprising accuracy and robust build quality, originally used by the U.S. Army for marksmanship training. Heavy, 28-inch (711 mm) long, free-floated target barrel, walnut-stained hardwood target stock with a full-length accessory rail in the forend, equipped with high-quality Redfield peep rear sights and hooded front sights, and the barrel/receiver is drilled and tapped for target scope blocks/mounts (Unertl style bases), Primarily used as a U.S. military training rifle in the late 1970s and 1980s to simulate the feel of larger-caliber military rifles. The trigger is adjustable and can be lightened to a very low pull weight. Reviewers and owners consistently praise the H&R Model 12 for its excellent accuracy, with many claiming it shoots as well as more expensive target rifles like certain Anschutz or Winchester 52 models. Shows some signs of use. Please see photos.
