This is a very well built semi-automatic version utilizing both original MG 42 parts from the 8mm Mauser variant and combining them with modern manufactured 7.62×51 NART (.308 Win) parts to develop this example by Ice House MFG no stranger to recreating military semi-auto versions of their machine gun brothers. Manufactured around 2023-2024 they have tried to keep as original as possible and are test fired at the factory for function. It has a Cerakote finish, original bipod, original bakelite grip, original wood stock with battlefield trench art, front and rear original sights, �Yes The parts kit it was built from was original�!!! Basically the barrel is new and some other parts. This back to life historic belt fed gun is absolutely beautiful and would look as good on a coffee table or in the safe. I know �Gotta� keep it safely stored. This complete package includes a German MG42 belt loader in ammo can designed for non-disintegrating link belts. The belt loader is designed to clamp onto the edge of a table or bench top, 2 – 50 rnd detachable belt drum Gurttrommel for 7.62×51 (modified) with military green canvas case and strap, 2 – 50 rnd Heckler & Koch Gurttrommel MG 7.62×51 NATO (.308 Win) unissued in the factory box belt drums with 3 belts and belt leads per box, and a polymer fitted hard case with wheels.
