Make: Colt
Model: Automatic
Caliber: .25 Auto “1973”
Action: Semi
Barrel: 3
Bore: Shiny
Serial # 118400
Condition: Very Good
Manufactured in 1973 as per serial number. Colt developed the Junior, but due to expensive manufacturing costs, they had Astra Unceta y Cia manufacture them in Spain. About 40,000 were produced in Spain from 1958 to 1968 when they were banned from import due to the GCA. Following this new legislation, assembly of Spanish made parts was moved to Firearms International in Washington D.C. and re-named the Automatic Caliber .25. Colt had some of the later models, like this one, assembled in Florida to get around the 1968 Gun Control Act that effectively ended the importation of the Spanish-made Juniors. The gun is a simple blow-back design with a single-stack magazine. Because it does not have a slide stop, it wont hold open after the last round. That trait is forgivable if we remember that this is a mouse-sized, vest-pocket gun. Blued finish, checkered wood grips with Colt medallion, micro fixed sights, and 1 – 6 rnd magazine. Includes factory box, Please see photos. C&R
