Manufactured in 1917 as per serial number. This nickel plated pistol is marked Model Of 1911 US ARMY on right side of slide and patent dates on the left side. On the left side of the frame is a circle stamp with the initials “GHS” which stands for Gilbert H. Stewart a U.S. Army Ordnance Inspector. This is in standard A1 military configuration but with smooth wood Colt grips with medallion added by one of its previous owners and nickel plated at some time as some where done to their owners liking. Includes 1 – 7 rnd magazine and soft zip case. Has signs of use with some scratches. Please see photos. C&R
