Combining legendary HEMI performance with exceptional craftsmanship, this stunning 1967 Dodge Coronet R/T HEMI Recreation has been built to deliver the look, sound, and driving experience of one of Chrysler’s most iconic muscle cars. Starting with an exceptionally original, rust-free foundation, this remarkable Coronet has undergone a comprehensive restoration and thoughtfully executed HEMI conversion using period-correct components and high-quality performance upgrades.
At the heart of the build is a period-correct 426 cubic-inch / 425+ horsepower Street HEMI V8, featuring a casting date of October 8, 1966, making it an ideal engine for this era of Mopar performance. The engine remains standard bore and has accumulated less than 1,200 miles since receiving a professional rebuild by the renowned Anderson Racing (ARI). Delivering the unmistakable power, sound, and presence of Chrysler’s legendary Elephant Engine, this HEMI is paired with a desirable 4-speed manual transmission and a 4.10 Dana rear axle, creating the ultimate high-performance drivetrain combination.
Originally born as a 440-powered, 4-speed factory car, this Coronet provided the perfect platform for a no-compromise HEMI recreation. Rather than simply installing a HEMI engine, the build was completed with careful attention to detail and period-correct presentation, resulting in an automobile that accurately captures the appearance and character of a factory-built HEMI Coronet while incorporating carefully selected upgrades to enhance reliability, drivability, and performance.
The engine has been upgraded with a Crane hydraulic roller camshaft and Crane Fireball electronic ignition, offering improved performance and dependable operation while maintaining the legendary HEMI character. Exhaust flows through Holley/Hooker ceramic-coated headers, maximizing both performance and durability, while an electric fuel pump ensures consistent fuel delivery.
The exterior has been refinished in a striking Dark Red Metallic by Creative Classics, giving the car exceptional depth, gloss, and presence. Complementing the fresh paint is a new matching interior supplied by Paddock, restoring the cabin to a beautifully finished factory-inspired appearance.
Performance and drivability have also been thoughtfully enhanced with power steering, front disc brakes, a 3-core radiator for improved cooling, and a new fuel tank. Completing the unmistakable muscle car stance are classic Magnum 500 wheels wrapped in Coker Red-Line tires, providing the perfect period-correct finishing touch.
