This auction features a highly collectible, authentic antique Economy cast iron laundry stove. Historically used to heat water for laundry and warm flat irons, this compact potbelly-style utility stove dates back to the late 19th or early 20th century. Maker Brand: Prominently embossed with "ECONOMY" across the front drop-down hearth plate.
Model Designation: Stamped with "NO." and "22" on the upper rear cooktop surface.
Cooktop: Configured with a two-burner cooktop containing two original removable circular eye covers. Includes a vintage wire coil-handled lid lifter tool.
Flue Exit: Features an oval-shaped rear exhaust collar built into the main top casting.
Base Section: Supported by a decorative four-legged cabriole stand. Features a lower swing-open cleanout door equipped with a manual pinwheel draft control dial.
