Item description:

Description: A scarce, early 20th-century antique utilitarian mixing or dough bowl manufactured by the historic Ruckel's Pottery Works of White Hall, Illinois. This heavy stoneware piece features the company's highly collectible, two-part embossed geometric design. The upper rim is molded with fine vertical ridges known as the "Picket Fence" pattern, while the midsection and lower body display a striking, debossed repeating chevron configuration referred to as the "Inverted Pyramid" or "Sawtooth" pattern. Finished in a clean, glossy light cream to salt-glazed off-white slip finish.
Dimensions: Measures approximately 10.25 inches in diameter across the upper rim and stands 5.75 inches in height.
Markings: The flat, unglazed stoneware base is unmarked, which is historically accurate and consistent with Ruckel's utilitarian production runs from this era.
Condition: Authentic vintage condition showing clear signs of historic use and age. The upper collar rim exhibits minor glaze flaking, superficial surface chips, and small areas of exposed raw clay along the top edge border. The exterior body displays faint original firing spots. The flat base rim shows a tight, stable historical check at the outer edge margin. The interior basin remains clean with standard light surface scuffs.
