Description: A matching pair of whimsical, sculptural desktop valet organizers or business card caddies from San Pacific International (SPI). Cast from heavy solid brass, each piece features a rectangular front sorting tray attached to a freestanding anthropomorphic animal figure standing upright in a formal bow tie. The first figure depicts a slender frog finished in a vibrant, oxidized green verdigris patina. The companion figure depicts a tall-eared rabbit or hare finished in a rich, dark bronze-toned patina. The flat vertical backplates are lined with protective black felt padding.
Dimensions: Each desk caddy stands approximately 5.5 inches high to the top of the animal heads. The front metal card trays each measure 4.25 inches wide by 3.25 inches deep.
Markings: The black felt backing of the rabbit caddy retains its original white factory paper label featuring the stylized corporate logo trademark reading "SPI / San Francisco USA / SAN PACIFIC INTL / SOLID BRASS / MADE IN CHINA".
Condition: Very good vintage condition. Both heavy brass sculptures are structurally sound and entirely free of fractures, breaks, or loose joints. The green verdigris and dark bronze finishes are exceptionally well-preserved, displaying only minor, age-appropriate surface handling marks, very light storage scuffs, and small traces of light localized tarnish settled within the low-relief casting seams. The reverse black felt backing pads are intact and securely attached.
