Item description:

A compelling collection of two distinctive studio pottery pieces displaying a highly stylized, expressive aesthetic. The first piece is a large, heavy oval ceramic charger or serving platter, finely hand-detailed with a trio of theatrical or cubist-inspired faces interwoven with a fan-shaped papyrus or palm motif. The reverse of the charger features a deeply incised spiral groove pattern. The second piece is a striking, tall cylindrical vessel or vase featuring a prominent, hand-sculpted female face wearing a high, textured headdress formed of seashell impressions and stylized drapes. The reverse of the vase is heavily dimpled with a uniform shell-like pattern.
Dimensions: Platter measures approximately 15.5 x 12.5 inches; cylindrical vase stands approximately 16.5 inches tall.
Condition Report: Both pieces remain in excellent condition. Close inspection of the platter reveals a fine, stable glaze hairline running vertically down the left edge, which is a characteristic artifact from the initial firing process and does not compromise the structural integrity. The vessel retains crisp definition on its hand-sculpted elements, showing no chips or losses; a faint artist signature is incised directly into the reverse shoulder seam.
