Item description:

Description: A vintage sculptural heavy resin countertop vanity easel mirror produced by Facsimiles, Ltd. Designed as an authentic historical reproduction of a whimsical 1890s "white metal" standing vanity mirror, the figural frame depicts a classic court jester or Pagliacci character. The character's detailed arms form the circular frame parameters while holding a marotte rattle staff, anchored by patterned legs forming the pedestal base and topped by a smiling jester face wearing a prominent pointed collar. Finished in a distressed, antiqued ivory cream paint wash with dark brown low-relief accents.

Dimensions: Stands approximately 11.5 inches in total vertical height by 8.5 inches wide across the arm contours.

Markings: The smooth reverse backing panel features an informative historical reference label reading "A1 / Jester Mirror / This mirror is reproduced from a so-called "white metal" standing mirror, one of a series of whimsical pieces produced in the 1890's. It is believed to represent Pagliacci. / American / 1894 / Facsimiles, Ltd. / Nashua, NH", accompanied by a silver metallic factory foil seal reading "Facsimiles, Ltd. / Nashua, New Hampshire / All Rights Reserved / Made in USA".

Condition: Good vintage condition. The structural composition frame is heavy and solid with a clean, highly reflective inset circular glass mirror basin. A significant chip is present along the upper left serrated edge of the jester's pointed hat brim; this damaged area is stabilize.
