Condition Overview
Fyr-Fyter Model A Extinguisher: This brass-bodied pump unit is structurally stable and features its original T-shape handle mechanism embossed with the "Fyr-Fyter" name. The main body retains its large metallic instructional badge with prominent red text blocks, showing minor tarnish, faint edge peeling, and light verdigris staining around the seams. The bottom end cap is securely attached, exhibiting ring oxidation and surface rust consistent with floor resting.
Pyrene Heavy Vehicle Extinguisher: The heavy vehicle unit shows advanced exterior wear and a highly weathered antique patina. A significant layer of verdigris corrosion, surface oxidation, and mineral encrustation covers the upper cap, pump handle, and sides of the brass body. The main instructional label is completely intact but displays a darkened, aged finish. The unit includes its integrated iron mounting bracket clamp on the back, and the black-domed bottom cap exhibits moderate paint loss and rust.
Stop-Fire Inc. Extinguisher: The smaller stored pressure cylinder features a rich, aged copper-brass tone across the main body tank. The top handle lever mechanism operates smoothly and is topped by a front-facing analog pressure gauge marked "Stop-Fire Inc. New Brunswick, N.J." The dial face is clean and legible, with the needle resting at zero indicating the canister is empty. The metal exterior shows a mottled, weathered surface with scattered verdigris spotting, minor finish scuffs, and standard bottom rim rust.
