Item description:

Description: A large vintage mid-century clear glass utility or pickle storage jar featuring a molded faux wooden barrel motif with distinct horizontal staves and vertical band detailing. The wide-mouth top is equipped with its original white-painted metal screw-on lid. The jar is fitted with a heavy-gauge wire bail handle completed by a turned, natural-finish wooden center grip.

Dimensions: Stands approximately 11.5 inches high to the lid margin and measures roughly 8 inches in diameter at the widest point of the barrel body.

Markings: The textured stippled base features a prominent embossed Owens-Illinois Glass Company maker hallmark (an "I" inside an oval over a diamond), flanked by production plant and mold tracking numbers including a clear designation code reading 75.

Condition: Very good vintage condition. The heavy clear glass body is structurally sound and completely free of chips, cracks, or deep institutional clouding. The original painted metal screw lid exhibits minor paint loss, superficial scuffs, and localized edge rust consistent with storage age. The wire bail shows a natural dull patina, and the wooden handle grip remains securely attached with zero structural splits.
