Designation: 1967 United States Kennedy Half Dollar Business Strike
Mintage Year: 1967
Mint Location: Philadelphia Mint (Struck without a mint mark)

Composition: 40% Fine Silver (0.1479 Troy Ounce pure silver weight)

Design & Series Significance:
Special Mint Set Era Custom: Due to a massive coin shortage in the mid-1960s, the U.S. Mint did not place mint marks on any business strike coins from 1965 to 1967 to discourage collector hoarding.
Precious Metal Core: This piece shares the standard 40% silver composition utilized for all circulating half dollars until the coin composition changed to copper-nickel clad in 1971.
Condition & Eye Appeal Notes:
Surfaces & Luster: Unlike the previous heavily toned 1964 lots, this 1967 piece features bright, relatively clean silver fields with clear remnants of original mint cartwheel luster reflecting around the device profiles.
Wear Analysis: Retains very strong, crisp design details. Minor wear and cabinet friction are restricted to the highest curves of Kennedy's hair and the central eagle shield lines on the reverse.
Rim/Holder: Sealed inside a cardboard 2×2 coin flip holder with staples intact. The coin shows typical very light field chatter but no major scratches or dings.
