Vintage 1980 Bandai Electronics Super Galaxy Invader handheld electronic game. Manufactured in Japan, this classic space-themed shooter is a prime piece of retro gaming history, popular for its vibrant Vacuum Fluorescent Display (VFD) and arcade-style sound effects.
The console is housed in its iconic dual-tone blue plastic casing. The front panel features an On/Off power slider switch, a fire button, two directional action buttons, and a digital LED "Score" window at the top. The glowing multi-colored display is fully operational, lighting up with bright red alien invaders, defensive targets, and missile tracking lines. The reverse side retains its original, fully intact "How to Play" instructional label and the original matching blue battery compartment door cover.
Condition:
Excellent vintage condition and fully tested/working. The plastic housing shows minor superficial scuffs from light play wear but is free of structural cracks or deep scratches. The VFD screen is clear and bright, and all internal display elements illuminate sharply. Controls are responsive, and the internal audio speaker produces clear, authentic retro sound effects. The battery compartment is exceptionally clean with no battery acid corrosion or rust on the terminal contacts.
