Vintage inlaid wood box.  2 7/8″ high, 8 1/8″ wide and 5 1/8″ deep.  Nice old box for keepsakes, etcetera which shows wear from age and use.  The interesting part is the writing on the bottom.  Per Google translate:  “Christmas, 1940, in the Eschnreiter Air Raid Shelter by Heina Grone.”
