This ironstone baby plate was produced by The Tiron & Company, as indicated by the backstamp. The plate features a nursery-rhyme scene with Baby Bunting and a dog crossing a log in a pond, surrounded by smaller illustrations of children and dogs. 'BABY PLATE' is embossed and painted at the rim in gold lettering.
The plate shows signs of age, including light crazing and minor gold loss, consistent with use over time. The decorative motif and style indicate it was intended for use in a children's nursery. See photos for measurements, if taken.
