United States Bicentennial First Day Cover commemorating the American Revolution. Issued in 1973, this set features a gold-colored commemorative medal with relief portraits of Samuel Adams and Patrick Henry and the official American Revolution Bicentennial symbol. The reverse of the medal depicts the Committees of Correspondence. Included is a block of four 8-cent Boston Tea Party stamps canceled in Boston and original informational inserts describing the significance of the medal and stamps, and the historical figures featured.
