Antique Wood Carpenters Tool Box Seaman

34x22x18"
This item is a traditional 19th-century antique carpenter's tool chest, 1840-1880.
This chest strongly resembles the Pennsylvania Dutch (Pennsylvania German)
folk art style, particularly due to the distinct geometric sunburst/compass inlay
on the top lid both inside and outside.
The base shows robust dovetail joinery along the corners to handle the massive
weight of iron hand tools, with cast-iron lifting handles. This antique chest/trunk is in
excellent solid condition! All joints screws and hinges are tight. This piece shows signs
of its age while being in good used condition.
Tradesmen often showcased their finest joinery and carving skills on the top lid.
