– Gray uniform jacket with a woven interior label reading "Rowland Uniforms, William C. Rowland Inc., Philadelphia."
– Brass-tone collar buttons with a torch design. Brass-tone front and pocket buttons with an eagle over "Columbia." The lowest front button appears to have a different marking.
– Red embroidered winged "Columbia" patch on a navy background on the upper sleeve.
– Black chevrons with a diamond on both sleeves.
– One sleeve has an embroidered "U.S. R.O.T.C." patch, a star, a black cuff band, and three stripes at the cuff. The other cuff has red and blue stripes.
– Red embroidered "S" patches on navy discs: one on one chest pocket, two on the other.
– Cross-shaped badge with three bars reading "Small Bore" pinned to the chest pocket.
– Gold-tone chain runs from the shoulder to the pocket.
– Shoulder straps on both shoulders. Dark lining.
– Condition: the lining has tears and holes along the lower front edge. Light soiling, lint, and spotting on the exterior. Scuffing and wear on the sleeve near the shoulder patch.
