This fine vintage Kutani Japanese porcelain tea set features a beautiful hand-painted bird and iris motif. The set includes a teapot with a bamboo-wrapped handle, strainer spout and four matching tea cups. The teapot measures approximately 6 inches tall with the handle. Each tea cup is approximately 3 inches tall in “yunami” style without handles. The porcelain has a crackled glaze finish, which is common for Kutani ware. Some original stickers are present on the bottom of the cups and teapot. Kutani is famous for its vibrant overglaze enamels. Condition is good with no apparent chips or cracks.
